Should Illegal Immigrents Be Granted Amnesty?

How many of you think illegal immigrents should be given amnesty (or a pardon) for violating our boarders and living off tax payer money?

In my opinion, the U.S. should round up all the illegal aliens and ship them off to Iraq and Iran to fight for the U.S. That way, they can EARN the right to live here instead of coming and taking away jobs from those who are born here or are legally allowed to live here. And in doing so, we can bring our own men and women home and put them on the building and patroling of those boarder walls the government wants.

Illegal immigrents not only steal jobs from us, but also do not have to pay taxes and get free medical service which OUR tax money pays for.

To any person who is illegally in this country and reading this, you have no right to anything! If you want to live here, go through the proper channels like many of others have or be willing to put your life on the line for the country you are so willing to live off for free.

That is an excuse used here in the states as well. However, perhaps if those people who were hiring immigrents would pay the citizens of the nation what the job is worth, then they would get more citizens willing to work the jobs. We have plenty of people on the streets who were born in the states who are out of jobs. Why then are some companies hiring outsiders to work for them? To save money!

It is not called a "Ladder to succsess" for nothing. Let the documented immagrants and college kids do those "unwanted" jobs. the d/i 's can save their money to send their kids to schools and the College kids will know what hard work is and won't be spongeing off their parents.

the paths used by illegals are the same paths drugs come in. sometimes the drugs come in on the backs or in the bellies of illegals. it will be the same paths terrorists will use to come in.

make it easier for those who want to come in to do so, then keep better track of them while they are here. that way wanting to come to America won't be the crime, disrespecting our borders will be the crime. just like every other country.

I shall not speak for Scryer but let me reply to what you address to me.
First: Narcotics (and for the sake of arguement I will accept the inclusion Liquor, nicatine, and caffine )alter the brain chemastry which prevent clear choices and promote mental and physical addiction. Personaly I see the limiting of addictive substances as well as proper education the job of any government.

Until the introduction of Eruopean Ideals Native Americans had little or no concept of property rights or borders. Why do you think Mannhattan cost $28. to them buying land was liking buying the air you breath.

I work in the Hospitalty industry. I t doesn't matter if the Business clears $100 or $100,000,000 labor cost are alway high and are always the first to be cut. Again I goto my earlier comment that these are Starter jobs. and if at all possible try to improve yourself and the condition for your family. just don't expect blood from a stone.

Most migrant workers know this and do it Legaly. Students from Brazil and Poland regulary raise over a $1,000 each to work 4 to six months at my resort. they sometimes triple their investment and go home. I don't know many american kids that would save $1,000 unless it was for a car.

I am not against Legal Immagration just Illegal Immagration

Breaking the rules is breaking the rules.
Sure, illegals take the jobs people don't want to do because the pay isn't a decent, living wage.
They also run a lot of meth labs.

If you don't like the law, get it changed but until that happens you follow the law.

We already do. you can't become a citizan unless you have a needed skill or are sponsered by someone. There is plenty of room in the us its just most people can't afford the land. but that is another thread

There are way too many people born here who sit back and take what they've got for granted.

I'd be willing to set a graciously low standard but I'd throw out everyone who didn't make him or herself useful in some way, large or small, whether they came over the border or were here to start.

I offer entertainment and edification not just for the paltry sum of $8 (less if you're a Barnes & Noble club member), but free for the reading here and on my website.

Anyone remember what the press called "the cuban truck-boat" series?

A few years ago, a small but determined group of immigrants converted a 1951 GM flatbed truck to amphibious use.
They were intercepted, the Coast Guard sank the truck and took them back to the island...where they tried again, with another fine old GM product.
This prompted news anchor Keith Olberman to comment, "We now know two things about Cuba. They have a large number of classic GM vehicles, and they all make superb watercraft."
Their Plymouth sedan (an old taxi) was intercepted, but this intrepid band finally made it to America and I for one, am proud to welcome such a clever and determined group.

`All illegal immigrants in the usa must include all the decendents of european settlers who stole and invaded that country in the first place. If you all decide to come back you'll have to leave your guns at home. It amuses me that you count people from mexico coming into the southern states as illeagal immigrants when these territories were originally mexican/spanish and were stolen by america. As many mexicans are of spanish decent and that country was the first european country to get to mainland america perhaps they should be able to settle were they choose.
