Starting on Friday, October 13, 2006, Turner Classic Movies will have a new showcase for all those cult classic flicks we all love, but may not want to admit loving. Hosted by movie fanatic, hard rocker, and filmmaker Rob Zombie, this show will have some of the best B-movies of all time. The line-up through December, at least as of right now is:
October 13:
Plan 9 From Outer Space
Bride of The Monster
(Ed Wood mania with Bela Lugosi! Hurrah!)
October 20:
Faster p----cat! Kill! Kill!
Mudhoney
(Russ Meyers Exploitation!)
October 27:
Night of the Living Dead
The Crazies
(George Romero for Halloween!)
November 3:
Sisters
(One of Brian DePalma & Margot Kidder's first films. This is as far from Lois Lane as you will ever see her!)
November 10:
Electraglide In Blue
(Quite shocking for it's time, this is like the anti-CHiPs! Staring Robert Blake)
November 17:
Freaks
Mark of the Vampire
(Bela Lugosi! True Classics of the Silver Screen from Todd Browning! You are one of us!)
November 24:
The Sadist
Wild Guitar
(Arch Hall! Teens Gone Mad! Arch Hall was at his "best" in The Sadist!)
December 1:
The Conqueror Worm
(Vincent Price. Nuff said!)
December 8:
The Honeymoon Killers
(The title really says it all, dontcha think?)
December 15:
Deranged
(Yet another version of the story of Ed Gein, thinly disguised.)
December 22:
West of Zanzibar
The Unholy Three
(More Todd Browning goodness with Lon Chaney Sr.!
December 29: (Special time 8 PM)
Rock & Roll High School
Faster p----cat! Kill! Kill!
Plan 9 From Outer Space
Madhouse
The Last Man on Earth
(The Ramones! Russ Myer! Ed Wood! Vincent Price! Peter Cushing! This will be an awesome night of B yumminess!)
