Who here has the job they love and who has the job they hate. Personally I have a job working as a Security Officer. I would have loved to be a Ploice Officer but because of a back injory I can't do that and I'm also trained in Computer repair and security. But because of the chicken and the egg syndrom I can't get a job in computer either. I apply for hte computer jobs left and right but they won't hire me because I don't have the experionce but I can't get a job to get teh experionce I need. So again who has the love-it-dreamed-of-it job and who has the pay-the-bills job?

I"m sorry...I hope you wind up getting the job you want:)

I work at Lane Bryant and it makes me want to turn into the She-Hulk and kill people. But since I"m pretty good at stifling my Lou Ferregmo (sp?)-like tendencies, I'm actually a pretty good retail person. I'm the main lingerie girl, which can get more tedious than it sounds..
Dream job? Either marrying a millionaire and catching up on my sitting around and looking pretty (Now you all now how shallow I really am..oh well) or being a succesful actress. Succesful to me doesn't necessarily equal famous..I just want to do what I love and maybe get paid for it.

Or I want to be one of those schmaltzy lounge singers at the trashy places in Vegas who wears eighty-five layers of pancake makeup and smokes while she sings "Blue Velvet" while talking about how she screwed Sinatra.
Come on by, I'll comp you a martini.

I don't think your that shallow I think you where just jk. Money may be the proof that a man is $$$$$ stable but if all he dose is work what kind of man would he be at home if you never see him. I think stability should be gaged from the home and how he or she acts around friends not how much the man or woman makes.

I suppose I have a love it job, but it doesn't pay the bills yet. I run a net base private school. It's esentially an umbrella school and resource center for homeschoolers. It's a new buisness though, so it'll be a long time until it's bringing in enough $.

Dream job? I don't want one. I have 2 kids to raise and educate already. I'd like to drop all this capitilist bs and just take care of my family. I'd probably do well on a farm or something. I'd be perfectly happy with a whole houseful of rugrats and we do as much as we can to grow our own food and generally provide for ourselves as it is....more and more as time goes on. I'd love to go back to wife/mother, just with a man that has some interest in husband/father. lol Not likely, but it's nice to dream.

I should probably point out that's not a particularly high priority. I mean, I'm going to homeschool the kids and garden and things. If doing it on my own hasn't stopped me, nothing else will. So, a guy just has to be able to accept that...but a gaggle of kids and the freedom to raise them is just daydreaming.

I'm a big believer in not giving up on dreams but then again don't wish to hard you may get what you asked for.

I can't say I love my job, but I am far from hating it. I work with a company that handles phone calls and emails for apartment communities. We handle maintenance calls, too. Basically, we are just here to answer people's questions about pricing and availability and hopefully sell them on applying to live there. It sounds like a boring job, and sometimes it is, but I work 3rd shift so have lots of time to do my own thing, like post here. Actually, I have been here a little over thirteen months, have had four raise, with a fourth coming first of January. We make decent money, although nothing spectacular. The best thing about it is that this is a very employee friendly company. I have NEVER had a job where I have been treated so decently. Plus, I feel respected and valued. We just had a company "holiday picnic" this weekend, and my supervisor, the guy who runs the place (basically), and the VP of the company all told me how glad they are I work here. Heck, in my first full month on the job, I was Employee of the Month and stayed that for three straight months until we started third shift!

My supervisor told me recently they want to keep me happy because they are expecting things to get a lot busier on 3rd shift as they add more porperties in January. Then they expect to have a full team on 3rd (right now we only have six people) and they want me to be the team leader. That was straight from the VP's mouth. The manager introduced me to his wife at the picnic as his "go to guy" on 3rd shift. They have already made me the floor leader, so most of my night is sent sitting at a desk making sure all the calls get answered quickly and the emails stay caught up. Sweet. I listen to music, read books, and cruise the internet for about six hours out of each night.

Now, my dream job would be making my own B-movies as I stated in another post. That is something that I am actually working on. I have a guy who is gonna help me write the script since I have good ideas, but can't write dialogue for crap. In the meantime though, this job is good enough where I am looking at buying a new car in the next couple of months and a house within the year. I can deal.

Apparently I'm one of the lucky ones, because I decided early on that I didn't want to become one of this 9-to-5 zombies that I saw all my friends become, okay the house in the suburbs might be nice, but I'm happy without business suits and stress-related Ulcers, and by turning a hobby into my profession after leaving the service I managed to keep the promise I made to myself.

My business card says "Independent Photographer/3D Artist/Freelance Writer", but the truth is that I see myself more as an observer who just happens to use photos, 3D art and short stories to introduce the rest of the world to my vision of it.

Now, if this was a science fiction movie, this is the part where the brilliant boy genius that everybody has been ignoring up to this point, pipes up and tells the balding Captain that by cross linking the Warp Core, the Impulse engine and a reverse framistat, then dividing the warp field lattice by the square root of last Tuesday, he can get them all home.
