It's well metered, I grant you that, but as for content?
I'd say you've offered up some nasty bastard poetry---who says it all has to be fluff and frills?
Actually offered this as a class assignment in high school. I could not, nor could any of the guys in my creative writing class read it aloud without laughing. I didn't want to write one, I don't care for the form, but the substitute teacher insisted we all write one so I put what I was feeling at the moment, into what earned me the moniker, "Master of Sick Haiku". Now, for your edification:
Brown refuse,
a puddle some animal left,
that I stepped in. |

My nasty Bastard poetry as you call it (I actually like it called that lol) takes time to produce and has quite more depth then just providing humour .....you just have to look real hard my friends.
Yes for I speak with sour tongue
and banter ...may put in the boot
but peer into its heart and soul
and you will find truth at its root
Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen ........Elvis has now left the building lol |

I give my adoring fans quality which takes time ....I don't sell out just to please other people who have no patience
As for Ninjabear he still hasn't supplied any nasty poetry for our consideration to warrant whether he deserves the title of "Master of Sick Haiku" |

That's true; his poem was not so much "sick" as just "fecal." |

"A man's reach must exceed his grasp, else what's a Heaven for?" --
Robert Browning.
Fine, leave us wanting...
But at least give us a few breadcrumbs....
Of course, whatever you post, you do realize, don't you,
that I'm going to ask how old you are really -- 13, 15 maybe...? |

I really like that quote!!
Okay prepare for some scraps ......
It was a match made in heaven
But they choose not to see
They wanted a steady chaperone
with me the irritable flea
They dig each others humour
And I admit I am sometimes lost
Hordes of words to read through
My sanity ......the ultimate cost
Luring her with poetry
he offers up another rhyme
he wants now to seal the deal
when she's able and in her prime
I know she so adores him
she is excited by his kung-fu chop
he's a calm,caring and loving bear
as long as she licks his lollipop
The day it hard....ly rises
and Sunshine swiftly comes
She said?....apparently iswallowed
as the Bear sucked her thumbs |
