I saw The War of the Worlds tv series in a similar slot.

Ironhorse: Wolfjaw, Montana - that's Indian Territory.
Harrison: Looks like we got aliens moving into the neighborhood. Let's
go.
Ironhorse: Great. First the white man, now aliens.

That show had some good moments.

To life immortal!

Best sci-fi series of the '80s (right next to Friday The 13th: The tv series). I immediately got the season 1 DVD of War of the Worlds, man that brings back memories. And how they got away with some of the Gore on tv is beyond me. Too bad it didn't get a better DVD treatment, they just released it barebones because of the Steven Spielberg movie. Although some people dislike season 2 (killing off Norton and Ironhorse was a big mistake), I thought it was decent.

Hey I swallowedabug, do you remember "when things were rotten" Mel Brook's first Attempt at spoofing Robin Hood.

I just thought of an old show to make a Movie out of "Get Smart"

Some other Action shows, but they are from the 70's Emergancy, and Adam 12

Wilmer Valderama as Punch in Chips Cooky Laughing what an inspired casting he's the model of the older actor ..... sounds brilliant.
As for the ATeam movie I don't think Gibson would have been a good choice for Hannibal surely he's more howling mad Murdock Laughing
I have seen Knightrider 2000 but have not seen Team Knight Rider but it reminds me of the new Airwolf they made.
And I haven't even heard of the last one there!!

I have never heard of Wizards and Warriors at all I don't think it came to my part of the world

How about doing a new film based on the old classic series The Time Tunnel

I used to also love the cartoon Touche Turtleand his sidekick Dum Dum

Who also remembers shows called Vegas with Robert Urich and then he starred in Spenser For Hire

They've made "Get Smart" reunion movies before which were pretty
good.

I heard they're doing an updated version with Steve Carrell as
Smart.

I thought the "Bewitched" movie was well done -- at least it
didn't ruin the original series. I like the way they framed it --
not as retelling the original series, but placing it in the context of
re-shooting the show. Not perfect, but clever.

I don't think I remember that Robin Hood spoof, Cooky37, which is
a shame because I love Mel Brooks (who doesn't?).

Ironhorse was my favorite character, so losing him in season 2 was
a big blow for me. I liked both seasons, but it was like two different
shows. It was like the difference between the old BSG and the new one
-- but with no time in between!

I also would have liked to see more time to develop Adrian Paul's
character, or the psychology of dissent amongst the aliens/what was
going on in Ceeto's head other than alien teen angst.

I remember reading that Paramount wasn't happy with the ratings of "War of the Worlds", so they approached the producer/creator of "Friday the 13th the tv series" to take over season 2. He made it more dark and the timeline would be "in the near future" instead of the present, he got rid of Norton and Ironhorse and hired Adrian Paul.

Personally season one is my favorite. We will never find out about that second alien race (the androids from the planet Qar'To) saving humans as a food source in the season one finale episode.

Thunddar The Barbarian
Johnny Quest

Oh... ok.. one really silly one:

The Jetsons (LOL)

One show I'd LOVE to see come back in TV or movie/miniseries
form is "Space: above and beyond."

The writing, acting, everything was just so well done.

"I'll be a son of a B---- if I go to your funeral, Ty." -- Ross
"We'll talk about your mother when I get back." -- McQueen

"I don't think our Maker wants to hear from me right now...because he knows I'm going to go out in that sky, in this plane, and remove one of his creations from his universe. And when I return, I'm going to drink a bottle of Scotch as if it were Chiggy von Richthofen's blood, and celebrate his death." -- McQueen

I wouldn't disagree on the quality of that particular show but I always rather resented it as it meant that Glen Morgan and James Wong deserted the Xfiles during the course of its second series.

It's not so much deserting as "graduating"...And just because
Chris Carter and Glen Morgan and James Wong weren't all working
together on the same series doesn't mean that they all don't still love
you very much and that we can all still be a family...It's just a family
that goes to work at different sets and sounstages...and it's nothing
you did as a viewer....

(Sorry, couldn't resist the parallel of distraught viewer to
child of divorce in this scenario)

Posted:     Post subject: Hi I'm new but I have some Ideas.

Hey everyone, I'm new from Australia.
I've got some ideas about old cartoons, my husband & I have been taking great pleasure in reliving our childhoods as we introduce our 3 kids to the old cartoons that we used to watch.

I used to LOVE Ulysses 31, it is the cartoon mainly responsible for my chosen profession of Archeology & Ancient History, now my kids love it too.
We have also just introduced them to He-man & She-ra, of course my 4yr old daughter loves that particular one.
We also just introduced them to Battle of the Planets, MCOG & Dukes of Hazzard.
Thundercats were cool, does anyone know where you can download them? Also Voltron, mind you I HATED the remake-Power Rangers, I hated the Smurfs too.
Do any of you remember : Silver Hawks, The Mysterious Cities of Gold, Danger Mouse (I named my pet mouse after him LOL), Astroboy, Kimba the White Lion, Under the Mountain, The Snorks, Metal Mickey. Just to name a few that I remember off the top of my head.

OMG, I can't believe that some of you still remember Chocky & Chocky's Children, I LOVED them, same goes for Monkey, although, even as a child it was a little obvious to me that they were trying to pass off Tripitaka as a boy when I could see plain as day that it was a girl.

My brother who is 19 now & probably never admit to it now, loved the Gummi Bears, He-man, Babar, Bananaman, Ghostbusters & Transformers.

I also remember some of the TV shows you have mentioned like America's Greatest Hero, (Loved the theme to it) A-Team, Airwolf ( My mum thought that Stringfellow was hot, lol), Knightrider (Has anyone seen David Hasselhoff's song in which he has KITT? SACRILIGE!!!!!!!!!!), Space:Above & Beyond, Alien Nation, Bewitched (LOVED that show, I cried when Elizabeth Montgomery died), Get Smart (if they made a remake of that I reckon they should use the guy who plays Nick in CSI to play Maxwell as he looks a lot like Don Adams) & the Highlander.

So have I shown my age yet? I reread this & it makes me sound so much older than 29 but I'm only that old, spose it's the fact that my kids are enjoying cartoons & shows that I loved when I was their ages that makes me feel old. That & the fact that I firmly believe that cartoons from back then are far better for kids moralistically than stupid ones today like the Simpsons. Any opinions?
