That joke just doesn't have a shelf life does it Bear Laughing

I have heard a couple more rumours about the Star Wars series .....apparently the series will revolve around imperial bounty hunters though they say there could be other directions taken.
Edward Furlong has been seriously rumoured now to star in it (Yes the kid John Connor in Terminator 2) If this is true I disturbingly wonder sometimes about Lucas's casting as I wasn't seriously impressed with Jake Lioyd or Hayden Christensen either ....who would Furlong be though? A bounty Hunter? An escaped Jedi trainee? Or is he what I think he may be a young Boba Fett (he does have that look doesn't he)
I've also read elsewhere (and this sounds great) that there is UNOFFICIAL talk and belief that this new series will spawn off a whole new batch of films Not just new trilogies but it could be just a stand alone film from a certain storyline and that even though it is set between Sith. and A New Hope there is talk that there will be flashback episodes/scenes that will take us back 800 to 1000 years before the Skywalkers............. This really opens up (hopefully) the prospect of The Knights of the Old Republic and The Mandalorian Wars ...anything that has a full out war between Jedi and Sith has to be a good thing in my mind.

I have recently read a Lucas interview too that states that he is going to have this new Star Wars TV Series in this newly advanced 3D format that I had heard a while back that he was releasing on the 6 films ...its all very strange stuff ....as I was under the impression this was a new technology that needed cinemas to alter to utilise this effect??

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.

Hollywood seems to be going through this phase where they have to cast a good looking villian. I, however, hope to Fred that for the show that they deal with something other than the Skywalker family (although it might be impossible to do). It would be great to see how the Empire develops into what it was in A New Hope, looking into the darker side of things. If the show does spawn more movies they should deal with either the plot of the TV show or (like you people have said) something before Episode I. It might be cool to see the Old Republic when it was just the Republic and when the Jedi were at the top of their game (so to speak).

As for an "alternative" Star Wars show how about 'Breaking Skywalker'? (Breaking Bonaduce) daily goings on at the Skywalker house years after Vader kills the Emperor.

All of this reminds me of "Troops", the "Cops" parody using Stormtroopers. Laughing

Yeah, I liked Troops, especially when they rescued Tom Servo.
It would make a better show than what we're gonna get, to follow a squad or stormtroopers around; sort of the evil, deep space Band of Brothers.

That would be interesting to do because then we would get their side of things and what they thought was right and wrong.

You could also have The Apprentice Star Wars style with the Emperor donning a ginger wig and bringing in a load of young evil guys and gals all looking to be the next Sith Apprentice ...Count Dooku could take the place of the elderly adviser and Vadar with new blonde coloured top helmet part could be the blonde adviser....mmmm it could work Laughing

The Emperor at the end says "Your fired!!" and then all the other contestants set the dead body in flames Laughing

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.

Yeah, now there's a contest you wouldn't want to lose!
The Emperor says, "You're fired," then the rest of them throw the week's loser down a pit (there's always some kind of bottomless pit nearby).
Bub, you crack me up---hey, how about the scariest episode of Fear Factor ever---or did we already do that?
