I've been hearing rumors for months, then some girl on (Cable TV channel) G4 said it outright; a Star Wars TV series is soon to come. I don't know what it's gonna be like, but I'd like to share an idea:

Sometime after what we now know as Episode VI...

The Emperor is gone, the Empire has shattered into a thousand petty dictatorships.
Chancellor Leia Organa has delegated the task of preserving order to the re-formed Jedi Council. Trained by Master Jedi Luke Skywalker, a new elite corps has been charged with restoring peace and justice; they are

The Knights of the New Republic

So, what do you guys think?

Valarules is right its set in the twenty years between Episode 3 and 4... its described as a bit like the Young Indiana Jones Series but McCallum (Lucas long term producing partner) did clarify that it will not be about the Skywalker clan all he would say was .........'Think Bounty Hunter' Apparently its still though in the very early stages and we won't see it for at least another 18 months. It sounds to me like Boba Fett Shocked

Not unless it is on Paid cable Channels. Yeah a Sopranno Star Wars would be cool, But The most we could hope for is the level of violence in The StarGate series. Iliked Ninja bears Idea, there is something from the books that would add spice to the show. For Twenty years the Galaxy was told that the Jedi were Self Centered and Evil. In fact the introduction of this Propaganda can be covered. There must be more than two or three Jedi to survive. I'm thinking "The Pretender" with Jedi powers

Since Lucas will be in charge my expectations will be pretty low. If only he would let other writers and directors in to take the helm. Look at Star Wars: Clone Wars, even though it was animated the jedi kicked *ss, and the stories were pretty good.

Since the movies are done with, I think that Lucas is just trying to get all he can out of the franchise.....but that won't stop me from watching it when it airs.

I just hope that it is well-done. My expectations are pretty low, but my hopes are pretty high. You never know, but so far Star Wars television has been pretty wretched...

Ewok Adventure anyone?

We could be stuck with anything---C3PO is the first openly gay robot, so I would not be surprised to see Threepio living in sin with Artoo and their little bastard DRDs.

The worse the idea, the more likely I feel we are going to see it.

How about "Queer Robot Sensor for the straight guy?"

Week 1 -- Chewbacca. They style his hair more fashionably and
teach him to use the right Products to avoid split ends.

Week 2 -- Jabba. They teach him about skin care to avoid
the oily skin, put him on a work out regimen, and give him some
lessons on sensitivity so he can impress his chained up gold-bikini
clad slave girls.

Week 3 -- the Jawas. They clear up all that clutter and create a
more flowing, open place to seel their wares. Something very
feng shui, and semi-opaque contacts to help dim the glowing eye
issue. Plus, a whole new fashion forward wardrobe rather than the
hooded robes should help business pick up.

Or how about a 'Pimp My Droid'
Where Luke brings in C3PO to a load of gang speaking technicians who basically replace every part, respray him and practically turn him into a moving entertainment centre and then finally tells Luke 'Your Pimped'

A follow up show could be 'Pimp my Bounty Hunter'

How about punk'd!

Ashton Kutcher could jump out and tell Luke that he'd been punk'd --
Darth Vader wasn't really his father, and everyone would have
a good laugh.

There could be some good episodes -- someone really annoys Yoda
until he loses his wise Jedi cool, someone tells Han they just
busted up the Millenium Falcon beyond repair, etc.

Laughing
How about a Jabba Winfrey show where are lovable slug invites Han Solo to talk about his life in front of a live audience and then he proceeds to hop up on the seat and basically acts like an idiot declaring his love for Princess Leia.

They could then focus on the bad times when he had to deal and overcoming hibernation blindness not to mention his torture at the hands of Darth Vadar when he wasn't even asked one question ......at this point audience members cry and so does Jabba Winfrey while making sure not to ruin his makeup Laughing

Or what about 'Fett the Bounty Hunter'?

Fett sets up his own Bounty Hunter business and a camera crew follows him and his Bounty Hunters as they look for rogue Jedi, smugglers, and the ever ellusive Han Solo.
