If you're not sure about the movie, Ninja, rent it and watch it. Then if you like it then buy a copy.

The 24th shall mark the one year anniversary of the release of Serenity in theaters. All Browncoats should have a Serenity viewing party and watch the movie and Firefly in celebration.

They had a Firefly marathon the other day on Scifi. they showed all the episodes up to War Stories and I watched most of them. I'd have to say that Jaynestown was by far my favorite.

Jaynestown was my favorite of the whole series, without a doubt. The humor just kills me. "We need to visit the crappy town where I am a hero!". While we can't do it on the 24th, some of the local Browncoars are doing a viewing of the BDM on the 30th, and probably a few eps as well.

Sweet, the local Sci-fi club at the college I attend is going to veiw the movie this Tuesday. I watched the movie myself a few days ago, and I'm proud of myself because I didn't skip the part where Wash gets killed....I just turned down the volume and closed my laptop screen....but that's beside the point. Do people who have the movie know about the Easter Egg on the DVD?

- From the main menu highlight 'Play'
- Press 'Left', this will highlight the marker on the right side of the menu
- Press 'Enter' to see a small featurette on the 'Fruity Oaty Bar' commercial, entitled 'We'll Have A Fruity Oaty Good Time'

- From the main menu
- Press right to scene selection and keep pressing to the right, you end up selecting a small pie shaped wedge which is between scene selection and languages on the right side of the menu
- Press enter on the pie wedge and you will see a oriental stylized commercial which triggered Rivers attack in the bar

The commercal is great and you get to see how they made it.

I'd have to say that 'Heart of Gold' is also one of my favorites. It has a 'Seven Samuri'/'Magnificant Seven' feel to it. "If I weren't married I'd take you in a manley fasion."

Thanks for the info. I will look it up when I get home in the morning. "Heart of Gold" was another outstanding episode. In additon to the Magnificent Seven you mentioned, I also thought of Clint Eastwood's The Unforgiven, and that western called Bad Girls.

There is also an Easter Egg in the Box Set of the Series.

Disc Four has the Special Features. Go there, then go to the second page of features. in the lower left corner is "Joss sings the Firefly Theme". Go to that, then move the cursor to the left. A white scrollwork design will light up. Press "enter" or "play".

It has to do with "Jaynestown"... That's all I'll say
