I've heard rumors that George has wanted to do this for awhile. And I know you can't believe most of what you hear but it doesn't sound that far fetched considering he keeps going back to those movies and making improvements. He seems to never be satisfied that they are completely done. And though most die hard fans would be against that, I think it's a great idea. The new ones don't really jive with the old ones on many plot points. And the technology seems to get worse as time goes on lol. After seeing revenge of the sith wouldn't you like to see a more dramatic reunion between vader and obi wan? I know I would. And bigger, better light saber duels is always a plus.
Besides it's not as if we wouldn't have our original favorites anymore. They would always be there on VHS for us to love and cherish and go back to. And how could more star wars movies be a bad thing? It can't. I'm not choosy with my star wars. I'll look forward to anything new that is coming our way. (like clone wars...whoo!) Idk, what does everyone else think?

`Not sure if this is a good idea, tale a walk through some of the remakes that have been pushed out by the studios, for every good one there is about five that are trash. George why not just make the last three like you said you wanted to just after jedi was released

`Now he claims to be miss quoted and only mentioned the children of Solo Triology as a joke. too bad Ive read some of the books featuring Jaina, Jacen, and Anikan Solo and they are good stories

i would rather see a continuation of the original trilogy, or movie versions of some of the books between episodes III & IV.
i am generally excited for anything star wars that comes out, but i wasn't impressed with the new clone wars movie. i'm still waiting for the live action TV series that i've been reading about since 2006.

I have mixed feelings in this regard. While I cannot imagine a re-imagined Luke, Han or Leia, I have to say that the idea intrigues me. As long as they left some of the technical aspects of it alone (i.e. the Millennium Falcon, X-wing, etc.) I think I'd be down. One of my biggest gripes about the new trilogy is the aesthetic end of it. Whoever designed the ships and such for the new movies and shows did such a poor job, in my opinion. They shouldn't have taken as much creative license as they did. They should have kept a little more in line Ralph McQuarries designs. I mean, seriously, some of the space battles and such are what helped define Star Wars. Like the opening sequence of ANH, with the little Tantive IV zooming across the screen, soon to be replaced by the seemingly unending Star Destroyer Devastator. And the Battle of Hoth. Come on, tell me that there's really anything you'd change about that.
Beyond my concerns, (which I'm sure some of you are rolling your eyes at, lol ) I think a re-imagined Original Trilogy could be really cool. It could give it more of a sexy, gritty, modern edge, much like the new Battlestar Galactica.
One question, though.....Who would be cast as who?

`I think the original 3 episodes (4-6) should be left alone. they are the biggest classics of our time. remaking them would be a big middle finger to all star wars fans.
