Okay, saw my second summer blockbuster of the year, and, again, I am underwhelmed. I think someone needs to teach Gore Verbinski that sometimes "less really IS more!". I enjoyed the story, and most of the action scenes, but ye gos! Some of these scenes seem to drag on forever! I won't put any spoilers here, but this movie is dang near three hours long. Probably 20-30 minutes of that could be easily timmed and make no difference to the plot. I think Gore must have felt, with each movie he had to throw in more. I felt the same way about Dead Man's Chest and it seemed worse with World's End. Oh well. Maybe they should have changed the title from At World's End to Will It Ever End? And, for once, the scene after the credits wasn't worth waiting through 10 minutes of credits for. On the whole, it is an enjoyable movie, but it has some problems. Oh well, just my opinion. Your mileage may vary. I am still waiting for the first summer blockbuster to blow me away. Will it be Rise of the Silver Surfer? Harry Potter? Judging from the previews, it could actually be Transformers, and I am not even a fan.

I heard you had to sit through the credits to see how it ended, why any director would do that is beyond me but I'll wait for the DVD.

Not really. Just like the other two movies, there was an extra scene after the credits. But, it really isn't necessary to the story at all. Of course, the last movie's wasn't either, but it was amusing.

Personaly, I liked it. There was a bit more tha was necessary but it kept moving so you realy didn't notice the time. Well at least they didn't but the Fountain of youth in Kissame FL
