Yea! I got to post the first thread in Horror! And I'm picking Zombies as the subject to start with.
Out of all the zombie movies out there, which is your fav?
I'm listing a few but I'm sure I'm missing some. Please feel free to add your choice if it's not in the poll.

Across the Sands of Time, along the Shores of Life, the Traveler rides on. For he knows his journey ends in lovers meeting.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beware the beast Man for he is the Devil's pawn.
Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport, or ----, or greed.
Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land.
Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert out of his home and yours.
Shun him. Drive him back into his jungle lair.
For he is the harbinger of death.

Return of the Living Dead should be up there, that's one of the best from the '80s. Although I did pick Night of the Living Dead the original.

The poll is limited to about 10 slots before it stops accepting input. I would have put those in there, but I couldn't. That's why I put OTHER as a choice. Keep coming with the comments though.
I never liked the Return of the Living Dead movies. Zombies don't talk! LOL

Shaun of the Dead is awesome and I loved the first Return of the Living Dead. They went downhill fast after that. Return is kind of a midpoint between Night and Shaun, I think. Kind of a loving tribute to Romero, but not quite as good as Shaun.

Yeah, I really enjoy Shaun of the Dead. The zombies don't talk and the humor is still there. Hope you're all having a good halloween. I'll be watching Dawn of the Dead (the remake) tonight!

John Russo and George A. Romero both have the rights to the living dead movies, but they split with an agreement that each can do their own zombie movies. The original Return screenplay was supposed to be a sequel to Night of the Living Dead but Dan O' Bannon didn't want to step on George's toes, it was his baby. So Dan wrote his zombies to eat brains, can't be killed by a bullet in the head, and even run. A original take on zombies in the screenplay by O' Bannon (not to mention the wacky and funny moments in the film) is why Return of the Living Dead is a cult classic and should be on that list above in my opinion.

Is that the one by Mel Brooks son? I haven't yet, but plan too.

I agree wholeheartedly Rayman. Very original viewpoint and and the humor sells it to me. Plus, Linnea Quigley is always a plus for me!

Let's not forget "Return" made Linnea a Scream Queen and very popular with the male horror fans.

Definitely did it for me. Funny though, when I saw her in later films, I didn't know her name very well (we are talking pre-internet and video tape was just starting out really) and didn't recognize her as the same girl from Return. Still thought she was hot, but Trash was definitely her peak of hotness.
