I'm a bit suprised no one has posted. Right now I have an active WOW and DAOC account. I have played COH/COV but right now I just don't have time for everything! Any of you playing anything?

Well, online gaming, yes indeed...

Most played for me were UO then DAoC now WoW. Tons of others tried in between - even took a recent crack at D&D Online (a game that proves business can wreck anything when accountants make the rules ).

My time now is mostly on WoW and as a distraction a little EVE Online. I've played WoW since it first came out with a group of friends here. My primary servers are Shadowsong (pve), Moonrunner(pve) and Azgalor(pvp). I prefer the pve servers and quite frankly gettting ganked by bored kids while simply exploring never really made it a "game" for me - although sometimes I do enjoy being that kid myself

DAoC, I realllllly miss the RVR system, that imo is the best pvp reward system ever in online gaming. Now, if Mythic weren't so horrible with leaving in exploits and actually made a trade system worthy of anything, and balanced its characters, and cared what anyone thought... ye see, I was a diehard, staying on way after WoW got started, but WoW's mail system, auction system, quest system and general light hearted play just won me over.

I'm less of a PC gamer, instead more of an xbox fan. Especially Halo 2 and a few RPGs.

What can I say, I like to blow up s---e. ^_^;;;

Aye pure "mindless" mayhem has its values

I love Halo 2 as well, for the run amok blow stuff up factor, its great.

I also enjoy in my online games, pvp aspects, I have never been able to play a strictly pve game - i find that pretty dull. Contests amongst players is a lot of fun - work yer butt off to get good gear, then go out there and do yer best to kill more of them than they of you

cheers

Really? I haven't tried it yet, but I heard D&D Online was excellent! Can you give a bit more detail about how business wrecked it? I just finished all the modules for Neverwinter Nights and was considering D&D Online.

DDO is a beautiful visual game. The content is trivial for a well run group, and is impossible to solo or even duo.

There isn't a lot of detail to what I think wrecked any potential for this game. This game was obviously driven by the online craze and someone smelling some money to be made (that'd be my accountant comment:)).

For me there is one fundamental problem with DDO, and it was specifically designed into the game - you cannot solo in this game. As a "casual" gamer it is pretty fundamental to be able to solo, as you can't always find a pickup group and you can't keep up with your out of work friends

How did accountants wreck this? IMO D&D cannot be made into an mmorgp and still be authentic D&D. They wrecked the good name of D&D by following a hope of more money, when the dynamics of the game just do not lend themselves well to the mmorpg experience, if you want to maintain the integrity of the full D7D ruleset. D&D characters are not balanced, they are specifically intended to be played as a group. Some characters have definity advantages over most others. The game cannot be made into a pvp experience, which on other posts I have said are fundamental to my enjoyment on online gaming.

NWN I absolutely loved that - but for me that is the boxed game I take home and play by myself, or log onto someone elses little world and play through some modules. If I compare what something like WoW offers in the way of competition between horde/alliance sides, I just never got any sense of competitive drive in DDO, and I guess that is something I really want to see.

Enough rambling, hopefully that a little better than my quick meatless statement above

cheers

I don't do a lot of PC gaming, and no online gaming. The Neverwinter series, Baulder's Gate, IceWind Dale, Oblivian, Morrowind, and, gods help me, The Sims are what I play on the PC.

Mostly, I am a Nintendo junkie. All of the Zelda, StarFox and Prince of Persia games. The Final Fantasy series on Play Station too.

I miss pen&paper gaming though

Hey girl. How are you? I'm fine. I'm DaPrincess & I've been a Nintendo fan since I was like 4 or 5, and I'm 23 now. I now have a Nintendo GameCube & I like Zelda too, I can't wait to get the new Zelda: Twilight Princess game, it looks so awesome! Yeah I don't really do pc or online gaming either. I just like to play NGC (Nintendo GameCube). But I haven't really been playing videogames that much lately, cause I've been so busy.

The Wii comes out in November *doin' a happy dance* And Nintendo assures us that it won't cost more than $250 to start. "Twilight Princess" will be released with the Wii

The best thing about the new Nintendo system is the fact that you will be able to download OLD games!!! Of course they are offering 20 years worth of Nintendo games from all the systems, but Sega and TurboGraphix have also agreed to release games for the system!!!!

At a recent convention (the exact one escapes me) both the Wii and the PS3 were previewed by industry experts. During the 3 or 4 day event, lines for the PS3 had an average wait time of 20-30 mins. The Wii... The lines were 5+ hours long, and people still waited!!!!!!!!

Anyway, yes, I am very excited about this system It may be a while before I get it, but I will have it

**2003-2004 Mithaniel Marr (now called Sary
)
**2004-2005 The Tribunal
**2005-2006 Firiona Vie (roleplay server)
**Served 1 year as Volunteer Guide (volunteer GM) on an unnamed server from 2003-2004

--Everquest II
**2006 - present Lucan DLere

--World of Warcraft
**2005- present Cenarius

--Anarchy Online
**2002-2004 Rimor

--Rose Online
**2004-2006 (looks like Ragnarok) Server 1

--Lineage II
**2004-2005 Sieghardt (overall best-looking Korean game but so hard to play you would not enjoy the gameplay)

You would know me on most of these games as "Vixi Voluptuous" , "Vixi", "Vixia" , "Vixelle", "Jexi", "Jexi Celestial" , "Jexi Celestine" ,"Jexia", "Zozi" , or "Charmeuse"

(of course I won't tell you my GM name nor server in lieu of SOE policy lol)
