Thanks for the the greeting both of you. Like Fringey I get to play on the internet at work. As for IM no one has IM'd me yet and the chat room is always dead but I don't know why. There are a few places in the forems that I'll avoid because I don't want to be spoiled like the BSG forem. I don't have Sci-Fi Channel so I have to wait for the DVD to come out. Guess I should have introduced myself when I started posting and joined. On a wem I did a search for sci-fi personals and found this place. I've always been a sci-fi nut. I still remember being aloud to stay up on Sunday nights to watch Star Trek and Dr. Who on Saturday nights on PBS. I love anything Sci-Fi or Sci-Fanticy but I dislike horror. I don't see the point of it mostly because I don't like being scared. Although I get a kick out of every vampire movies I've ever seen. Mostly because I've had experience's with a the real ones. And I laughed all the way through the Blar Witch Project. So that's me in a sci-fi nutshell, of course there is still a lot to know about me but I don't want to bore people to death.

P.S. Oh and I'm a straight SWM looking for a straight SWF but that's a given and yes I know I'm shameless.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm ashamed by my geekiness, but I heard about trekpassions from Wil Wheaton's blog. =) It's a creative concept, at least. I don't think I've seen any other dating sites like this, and I've looked around a bit.

I would also like to welcome the new people who have joined. So Wheaton knows about the website, was it a good endorsement?

Thanks for the link. Wheaton is a funny guy, but I'm sure the creators of Trek Passions will take any kind of plug.

You got that right!

A Wired.com blog mentioned us (and was linked to on the homepage of Wired.com for a few days this past week), and it is possible that we might be mentioned on another large net related site within the next week or so.

Everytime things like this happen, there is a a bit of a ripple effect. We've seen at least 10 or 15 different (new) blog and livejournal links appear recently.

And everytime someone adds a link to us, it helps us get the word out a little more.

Hopefully we'll (soon) be filled to the (virtual) rafters with lots and lots of Trek Passionauts!
