Hal91's Blog Opening log and thoughts.
Posted by Hal91 on 2012-02-08 03:27:44.

About an hour ago I finished watching the amazing science fiction masterpiece - The Fifth Element. It wasn't the first time I'd watched this brilliant film, and it certainly won't be the last, however this time was somewhat special as it's the thing that prompted me to make an account here! I find myself a a point in my as-yet still young life where nothing makes sense and everything is very big. I think we all reach this point sometime in our lives, probably more than once. I broke my ankle badly... 3 comments

Posted by Noe8472 on 2010-11-03 14:00:54.

Ok so I'm tryn to get in to SGU rite...? But I hate the lighting !!! Its not my TV or anything . . .its just not brite enofffffff ahh. So I get that's the feel and mood thr tryn to give to give but I just doont like. It takes me back to when battle * galactica first (remake) aired on Sci fy . . Darkness everywhr that way I didn't get into it. If your into Stargate (sg1 or atlantis) its all nice and brite. Well if the the reason for dark sets is to set the mood I hope the show goes on, if its because production cost I give it 2 more seasons.. That's my take... One comment

Offworldgirl's Blog FREE Sci-Fi Games
Posted by Offworldgirl on 2007-04-10 17:55:23.

I was going to post this in the forums, but when I clicked the "New Topic" button it kicked me out to my account e-mail page, so I guess I'll post it here. Before I go on I should probably disclose the fact that I suck at video games. Always have. Probably a good thing, though, or I'd disappear into a digital haze of alternate realities and never be seen again. Nevertheless, I recently ran across some FREE sci-fi games that I found fun - even if I was quickly blown up. Battlestar Galactica... No comments

Iswallowedabug's Blog Save the cheerleader...
Posted by Iswallowedabug on 2007-02-16 17:04:17.

I was quite amused by the NBC cross-promotion on last night's episode of ER. An injured cheerleader and her squad end up receiving treatment from our good friends at County, and one of them whispers, "Save the cheerleader, save the world!" 2 comments

Iswallowedabug's Blog What?????? No more Wonder Woman from Joss??????
Posted by Iswallowedabug on 2007-02-03 15:43:53.

Is it just a rumor? Or is Joss really no longer involved in Wonder Woman????? Well, it's a good thing she'll have the invisible jet, the lasso, and the bracelets, because without Joss, her verbiage is not likely to be nearly so snappy and able to bring down the bad guys all on its own. Oh well. 4 comments

Iswallowedabug's Blog Hank Landry
Posted by Iswallowedabug on 2007-01-30 16:57:03.

Is there a connection between criminology professor Hank Landry on Veronica Mars and General Hank Landry on Stargate: Sg1? Was this referntial by the VM people, as their knowledge of science fiction and pop culture might suggest, or a happy accident? I am so out of the loop. No one tells me anything. 4 comments

Acheshirecat's Blog Living Logically
Posted by Acheshirecat on 2007-01-20 11:11:25.

One of the things I gained from the original exposure to Star Trek and Tarzan (from the books, not the Tarzan movies) was trying to live logically. If one does a little thinking about what the are doing in life and what they want to do it is not that hard to 'get it right'. Consider a small thing like taking a shower. You get wet to get clean. But, have you thought about the best way to dry off. Water runs down, so drying should start from the top. But, if you have ever dried your hair before drying... 4 comments

Acheshirecat's Blog My First Posting
Posted by Acheshirecat on 2007-01-19 20:19:13.

Hi, I am exploring this site in the hope of finding a mate, who wants to have kids, someone that I share some interests with. I enjoy Star Trek enough to buy all the DVDs. (Except the cartoon version.) I found that when I watched the DVD of each Series, that I had missed a few. I have been revisiting Voyager again most recently. I do have other interests besides Star Trek, I did a search here, an saw someone was an Anne McCaffery reader. She is one of the Authors on my Buy and read list. I have... One comment

Iswallowedabug's Blog Superpowers
Posted by Iswallowedabug on 2006-11-21 17:25:36.

I've been watching the show "Heroes" and frequently re-watching old episodes of the "The Tick," and occasionally watching "the 4400" when new episodes of that air, and a running theme in each show is the different kinds of superpowers the heroes (and villains) demonstrate. Something that often kicks around in my head is wondering how people would even know they had certain kinds of more obscure powers if the circumstances never presented themselves. Sure, it's one thing to have generic... 4 comments
